FAQ

Q - What time can we arrive?
A - Cottages will be available from 3pm on your arrival day and must be vacated by 10am on your departure day. We are flexible on these times out of season please ring to check.

Q - Are short breaks available?
A - Yes - we will consider any short break from September - July. Please ring 01288 361521 for more details. There is also discount for late availability.

Q - Is linen provided?
A - Yes. All our beds are made up for your arrival.

Q - Are there saucepans and utencils?
A - yes,all cottages are fully equipped with all cookery equipment.

Q - Is electrcty and gas included?
A - Yes all electricity and gas and heating is included in the price of the cottage.

Q - Are logs for woodbuners included
A - We provide the first basket of logs for woodburners in Manor & Parsons. We provide coal for the multifiel stove in the Farmouse.

Q - Are towels provided?
A - Sorry, towels are only supplied free of charge to overseas visitors.

Q - Do you accept dogs?
A - Yes we do welcome dogs at Hilton with a £25 per week charge. Although we do ask for guests dogs to be kept on a lead within the complex we do provide a dog walking field.

Q - What will we find in our cottage at the begining of our stay?
A - We provide teatowels, your first toilet roll, pint of milk and complimentry tea,coffee and biscuits.

Q - Are there stair gates?
A - In Badger, Primrose and Swallows Nest there are built in stair gates.

Q - Can you supply cots.
A -Yes we can supply cots and highchairs free of charge.

Q - Will you provide extra beds?
A - Where it is possible you can order an extra bed at the cost of £35

Q - How far is the nearest beach?
A - we are just two miles from Widemouth Bay which is a safe sandy surfing beach. We are also close to Bude where you can find many other beautiful beaches.

Q - Can I walk to the beach?
A - yes. There is a public footpath to Widemouth Bay which takes around half an hour to walk. There is also a flat canal walk from Marhamchuch to Bude straight to Summerleaze Beach. This walk also incorparates a cycle path.

 


Q - Where is the nearest supermarket?
A - Our nearest supermarket is Morrisons just two miles from Hilton. There is also a village shop in Marhamchurch.

Q - Is there a resturant nearby?
A - Yes we have a popular vllage pub/restaurant in Marhamchuch within walking distance from Hilton.

Q - Have you got off road parking?
A - Yes we private off road private secure parking.

Q - Are any of the cottages suitable for disabled?
A - Yes. Pound Cottage is all on one level with parking directly outside. All rooms and doorways are suitable for access with a wheelchair and it is all on one level.

Q - Is there a BBQ?
A- we have a large brick built BBQ for guests use.

Q - Are there laundry facilities?
A - There are washer/dryers in The Farmhouse,Parsons,Manor,Pound and Badger Cottages. There is an on-site laundry room with two washing machines and a dryer.

Q - Are there freezers?
A - there are freezers in The Farmhouse,Parsons,Manor and Pound. All other cottages have freezer boxes in the fridge with extra freezer space in laundry room.

Q - Are owners on-site?
A - Yes Hilton is famly run and Ian and Fiona are available for any queries or to report any problems to.

Q - Is there anywhere to store bikes?
A - we have a garage for storage of bikes and surf-boards etc

Q - Are there CD players?
A - Yes there are CD players and radio's in every cottage.
